Bingo.

Why do so many black people hate Clarence Thomas?

Probably for the same reason that so many women hated Phyliss Shaffley.

The answer to the Op is pretty simple, conservatives have their litmus tests, black folks have theirs.

Based on what bigoted act?

What's weird is the fact that if black folks loved Clarence Thomas there would be allegations of racism by conservatives (check out how they term the adulation of the president bestowed by black folks!). So, when black people seem to base opinions of a man on his political views -- it's racism?

Forget race and politics! Clothes make the man! Where does Justice Thomas shop?

I think that minorities will all have a difficult time triangulating their views as a Jurist , minority ,and political affiliation. Thurgood Marshal and Clarence Thomas are extreme cases. People will always doubt that their opinions are purely the jurist point of view. Clarence T.'s views on Affirmative Action IMO are from the Jurist Point of view and not the Minority. where does the greater responsibility lie ?

Blacks seem not to like any conservative such as Alan keyes,Lynn Swann,J.C.Watts,Armstrong Williams,or Clarence Thomas. Black people profess to believe in Jesus, against gay marriage, against abortion, for stronger families.Yet they continue to vote against these measures. These men should be their heroes, but black voters won't give them the time of day.Either the black voter is ignorant on the issues,or they can't believe in the listed above policy

It just makes things easier for people who think that way...it doesn't require much brain power.

Leap of faith. Being a Democrat does not mean one is against all that. Try for less partisanship.

Maybe folks just disagree with you. Does that make them ignorant?
