Wow. Ft. Worth must be very financially well-off if they can afford to send out nine cops just to check a liquor license.
They checked several bars. I think three stay outside, three stay at the door and three go in. If they had hit Billy Bobs there could be thousand of peopel in there 9 woudl not be enough
If they're checking for drunks at a bar, why wasn't ever single person arrested?
You're not drunk if you only have a few drinks. Not everyone who goes to a bar drinks him/herself into a stupor.
In the defense of the officers, I'd bet that almost everyone who was arrested was VERY drunk. If you read the articles, you'll see that at least one was vomiting excessively and had to be taken to the hospital due to alcohol poisoning.

I disagree. The coverage of the anniversary is being heavily covered by the main stream media.
Really? I won't dispute that because I don't usually pay all that much attention to the news, either on TV or on-line. But I have to say that I had heard NOTHING whatsoever about that anniversary until I got to this thread this morning.

They were checking the liquor license not drunks. Few of th e drunks decided to be disorderly. Everyone there was not disorderly so everyone did not get arrested for drunk and disorderly
Prostitution (http://www.fortworthpd.com/johntv.htm - broken link) - this is John TV - from the FWPD. It's also run on community cable channels.
Totally unnecessary and excessive, if you ask me. I guess giving them a criminal record isn't enough. They feel a need to humiliate them on top of it. It's because it has to do with sex. I bet they don't post pictures of people who get arrested for speeding or even drug dealers.

In the past the normal worker for a company would be fired and still are probably. At least when the president of a company is arrested the world will know rather than have it covered up

I'm sorry, I just don't buy that. Why did it take the cops coming to the bar for these people to become "disorderly"? I mean, no one called the cops on them, so they were seemingly orderly before the raid.
And if they were being "disorderly", why weren't they also arrested for disorderly conduct?
I think prostitution should be legalized and taxed, but if it is illegal this evens the playing field for the president of the companied to us little folk
It has nothing to do with "evening the playing field for little folk". It has to do with humiliation because it's associated with sex. Do they have a TV program that shows the faces of people who get arrested for anything besides prostitution and solicitation?
