It gets funnier everyday. All I have to say is these are the same people in some form that ran this country years ago and we survived their stupidity, so considering we've become a much smarter nation, once those individuals die off I'm sure we'll be ok.
Okay, i'm not that mean, but i must admit it is hilarious to hear leaches complain about a new sponsored leach plan. I mean how stupid do you have to be to not realize you're a leach?
If they do not want government sponsored health care do the following
1. Opt out of Social Security (First)
2. Opt out of Medicare next (Pay for your meds on your own a**h09#s

You might not be so quick to throw around the "stupidty" label once you do.
These people have PAID into medicare via taxes. That is very different then expecting someone else to pay for your health care. They have already paid for it is NOT free for them.
Well the fact they are protesting must mean that Medicare must be a really good program that they are happy with. If Obama's public healthcare program removes Medicare... whatever happened to being happy with your plan and being able to keep it?
The fact of the matter is that Medicare is becoming insolvent and any public plan will also become insolvent. If you have to raise taxes significantly to obtain this public option you will soon see the youth of this country leaving to work in other lower taxed nations. You will also see the youth of this country have less children. Less youth = less people to pay for the elderly and soon enough you become a geriatric society much like the whole of the so called "developed" nations of Europe. I don't understand why this is so difficult for the people to comprehend.

I used to live next to a man who is100 percent hardcore Republican. He was the only Republican in our neighborhood (or at least the only one who made it known) and man oh man. I would NEVER bring my kids to him if I had any.
1) He was so racist. A black family moved in next to my house and he asks me "How do you like em ******s living next to you? The black man is nothing without the white man." I was like "Excuse me? I don't want to ever hear the word '******' ever again." Mind you, I was holding my neighbors three year old daughter as he said all this garbage. When Obama got elected, he was like "oh my god. We have a scumbag ****** from Chicago in the White House. Oh my god! It is the end when the ******s sit in the white house."
He is around 65 years old so he was alive when Africans were still discriminated against. Get this-he TRAINED his dog to ATTACK black people. One black person almost died and the police came and got the dog and told my neighbor that they were going to put the dog down. My neighbor said "Hell naw. You gonna put my dog down for a black man? I don't think so." But they did and he is still angry about it.
2) He hated gay people. we had a lesbian couple with a son move in a few houses down. No need to add more. You all get what he said he wanted to do.
3) He screams "SOCIALISM!" loudly and cries about his "freedom being taken away" now that Obama is president. YET-(now this is the best part) he happily collects social security/medicare AND welfare! WTF?! He even told me this. He is like "Oh, it is ok once I get my checks in the mail." And now he is up and running around and going crazy of Universal Health Care. I have no idea why. He emails me these stupid pro Republican, anti Obama chain emails (despite the fact I told him not too) and then never replied when I refute them.
So....huh?! Yes, it is very selfish and hypocritical of these kinds of people doing that. It is ok if THEY are covered or if "socialism" helps them but heaven forbid ANYONE else.
