Silly boy, math is for Republicans. How dare you interject it into an emotional debate.

Wow, and neither has the 4th generation welfare bums paid for their 30 years of sucking off those of us who actually work for a living.

What percentage of welfare suckers have paid a dime into the system?

I started paying into the plan in the 1990, so you can understand why I'm extremely pissed. YOU HAVE NEVER PAID YOUR FAIR SHARE AND YOU NEVER WILL. HOWEVER, because I've been taxed for it since i was 16 I've been supporting your pill popping butts for far too long. I'm sick of all the socialism that exist in this country. SICK AND TIRED OF IT! (PARDON THE PUN) I DON"T SMOKE, I DON"T DRINK, AND I DON"T EAT FAST FOOD, SO WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE THAT MADE POOR HEALTH DECISIONS IN THEIR YOUNGER YEARS???? Explain it to me!!!

FICA & SECA Tax Rates

FACTS TRY AND DISPUTE IT!

You need to get your ass back to work so I can retire on your money.

Do you really think you've just had a blinding flash of inspiration, this has been known about since this system was set up. Successive Presidents and Congresses, beginning in the 1960s, expanded the SS program from old age benefits to cover juvenile disabilities (SSI), college costs, among some other things. Added to the fact that life expectancy has increased by 20 years since SS was started and you have a demographic trainwreck. Every time there's a recession the generational warfare card gets pulled out. One more thing, your generation is the one with a negative savings rate, not those who are retired now-you know the ones who "haven't paid their fair share" and who have to liquidate everything to go into assisted living.

Some advice from someone who's been working longer than you've been breathing: you maybe ought to drink, smoke and eat fast food-you might feel better and have a pleasanter outlook.

Your break is over, get back to work.

If they haven't paid their fair share then certainly the new government program will not have . It starts with zero other than taxpayer general fund dollars form a very minimum of taxpayers. At least Medicare was started with funds from the actual people that benefit thru a payroll dedcution. If they did this with the current government plan and taxed those that get the insurance or will receive its in future years they would need the trillion to two trillon startup money.Even then medciare people will pay for 1/3 because that is the amount that will fund the new plan by medicare reductions in spending. I am all for a medicare type governamnt plan which taxes those that actually get or will get the benefit for the government cost. Remmeber that medicare fund is still soolvent while the new government plan may never be and certainly isn't for the forseeable future. Most everyone now on medcare paid into the medicare fund that is pay go and most baby boomers for their entrie work years the just now satrting to draw.Certain not close to a one payer system or a top ten per cent payer system compared to the new government plan.Mnay now will be on a governamt subdised paln most of their work life then after they retire apy more t overall than they did in their working years. It pure welfare from others is what the government option is.

Well considering almost 2/3 of those people on welfare are children and many of them go on to help pay for you social security once they reach working age i think you answerd you own question.

Um 30-40 Billion vs 804 Billion dollars where's the real comparison? LEACH!

Were you bitching when Bush kept awarding no bid contracts to Halliburton in Iraq? Even after they stole MILLIONS from the tax payer? Of course you weren't.

Corporate welfare puts your welfare momma argument to bed, yet nary a peep from you.

You realize that government gives tax breaks to employers who provide health insurance to it's employees right? Is that not a government subsidy? Hmmmm????

The bottom line is you don't care about your country, only your party line, which essentially is "scurew you."

Hey Tex as always thanks for the response. You know i have nothing against elderly people my grandparents are elderly and i like them lol. I'm just pointing out a fact. The system does not allow anyone who is in the first phase of free benefits to pay their fair share. The first people in get the greatest benefit and those groups of individuals who have paid into the system for a longer period of time get substantially less of the benefit (if any).

I'm just sick of the elderly of late with their rants about government sponsored social programs. It is crazy. You cannot benefit from a program and then tell others they cannot do it. It is crazy just plain crazy! I'm also sick of people claiming they are "entitled" to medicare of social security because they "paid into it." It is a lie and out right lie and i'm just sick of hearing it on these boards. It is socialism no different than government sponsored health care for all.

I always think of ACORN when one of you bring this up.
Why do we use taxpayers money to fund a hate group like Acorn?

Obama just bailed out banks and other corps and you did not like that?

Which way do you want it?

Either you are for corps or against it.

Watch what you are saying the Obama admin is doing the exact same thing.

I withdrew (opt out) from SS and Medicare.

I have not paid into the system for over 30 years - I have not "contributed" to anyones Medicare (or SS) for more than 3 decades
