You need to read more on this board, it was here in plain site for you to see.

Obama said it himself in 2003.
He never said this. In fact he has repeatedly said the opposite. Provide me with a link, please.

Where does it say that everyone has to go with the government plan in the healthcare bill?

It called a matter of trust. You simply cannot trust Obama.

He has a real problem of telling us one thing and later changing it.

You know as well as I do if he gets this to pass he will have his foot in the door to control it all and do whatever he wants.

We the majority of us do not want him to have this control.

Hell, even Obamas own personal doctor says it will not work!

Allydriver, did i insult your intelligence? (directly)

Is that the best you can conjure up?

Anyway, stick to the subject. These people could not have paid into the plan. Here's how i can prove it.

Medicare started in the late 1960's and early 1970's right?

Okay, so the first people to enter the program basically got a completely free ride, because they were never taxed from the start of the program. The government printed a ton of money to initially fund it and then began to tax individuals afterward. (Please say the next sentence in a sarcastic Homer Simpson voice starting now>) Oh maybe i could amuse you with some story about the Social Security Fairy dropping large amounts of money underneath FDR's bed one night, but that would not be fact. Or perhaps i can entertain you with the same retarded idea of the Medicare Fairy dropping money off under LBJ's bed so he could fund this dumb socialist program.

Okay, now let's deal with anyone over the age of 65 now, that is on the medicare program.

They would have (assuming) they actually worked would have only paid about 45 years into the plan. This again is a big assumption considering a lot of people retired earlier than 65, that now collect benefits.

Ok, what if a person who is now 80 is on the plan, they would have paid since they were in their 40's right? I'd like to add women make up the largest gender of medicare covered individuals. My assumption is very generous, because due to our nations history of not gainfully employing most women during the 1950'-1960's I find it ironic these now elderly leaches are the main individuals complaining about government sponsored health programs that benefit them on the back of younger male tax payers (just a fact). I find this a bit ironic. Don't you?

Okay, so i digress, but back to my point. I've been paying for medicare since i was freaking 16 years old when i took my first job and I'm not going to see a dime, because of you greedy leaching a@@ho** both male and female that have not payed your fair share. You cost much more than you ever put in!!!

I'm sick of it! I'm sick of the stupidity from these loud mouth tards on the nightly news. If you're getting any sort of handout shut the hell up and go back under the government funded rock that you crawled.

THE GOVERNMENT AND FELLOW TAX PAYERS DON"T OWE YOU A DAM THING! YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO SPECIAL PRIVILEGES AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHER TAX PAYERS, BECAUSE YOU WERE TO INEPT TO EITHER SAVE OR SPEND RESPONSIBLY IN YOUR YOUNGER YEARS!

IF A LARGER PORTION OF THE OLDER INDIVIDUALS HAD MORE RESPECT FOR THE HANDOUTs THEY WERE GETTING I WOULDN'T"T BE SO TOUGH ON THEM! THOSE OF YOU WHO DO I SALUTE YOU BUT UNDERSTAND IT IS NOT A RIGHT FOR YOU TO RECEIVE A GOVERNMENT SPONSORED ANNUITY (SOCIAL SECURITY) or GOVERNMENT SPONSORED HEALTH COVERAGE (Medicare).

Anyway let's say you worked for the last 30 years and made an average salary of 40k during that entire period

You would have been taxed on less than 1% for medicare on that 40k each year for the last 30 years which would have amounted to 400 bucks a year or 12,000 dollars that you actually paid into the system. YOU GET MY POINT! YOU NOW COST US TAX PAYERS 30,000 to 50,000 a year to house and feed pills!!! YOU DIDN"T PAY YOUR FAIR SHARE!!! SO SHUT IT!

They are too stupid to know what's good for them, maybe they just need a few Dr. 0bama pain pills.

Pretty sad how unknowledgable many of the most passionate people really are when pressed on the issues. Propaganda works wonders.
Yup.

Same group here that will be collecting social security checks and using Medicare when they get older.

How about this stupid leach a**h09# telling you I'd like to opt out of Medicare if I could.
I must be an inexperienced leech. Can't seem to get that free part working right.
It's cost us $11,000 the last two years.Did good this year though....got it down to $8000 (Nice doctor gave us some sample meds, didn't have to order from Canada)
Think I could buy a private plan somewheres close to that?

How much you paying for medical a year?

I worked for a fairly generous employer and was paying just under 50 bucks a month for medical and dental. Thank you very much.

Let me ask you a quick question how long did you work and what was the average range of your salary?

http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/ProgData/taxRates.html

I'll be nice let's say you and your spouse had a combined salary of 80k combined average over the past 30 years that you paid into the program

Medicare tax is less than 1% of your overall earnings so that's what

(80*0.01)*30 = 24,000 that you may have paid into the system

and each year it cost you 12k and 8k in just two years you've spent 83% of what you put into the program and you've been doing this for how long????

YOU GET MY POINT! YOU HAVEN"T PAID YOUR FAIR SHARE

I"ve been paying since i was 16 i bet you cannot say the same and I'll never see one freaking cent no that i expect to. I actually had parents that taught me the value of saving for old age, so i wouldn't be a burden of the state!

Look, I'm not necessarily indifferent to your plight for cheaper medical cost, but what pisses me off most about some of the individuals in your segment is how they are so self righteous as if they actually paid into the program the exact amount they are taking from it. Not to mention all the elderly loonies running around complaining about Nationalized Health Care and then uttering stupid things like, "but please don't let the government put their hands on my medicare."

I see it to often and have had enough!

Default If you're on Medicare You have not paid your fair share!

I'm sorry, but I've had it up to here with these silly socialist debates. Those of you on Medicare have not paid your fair share.

The plan started to tax people in 1966 and it only taxed you at a rate of 0.35% to start. It is now up to an actual 1.45% of your taxable income.

I started paying into the plan in the 1990, so you can understand why I'm extremely pissed. YOU HAVE NEVER PAID YOUR FAIR SHARE AND YOU NEVER WILL. HOWEVER, because I've been taxed for it since i was 16 I've been supporting your pill popping butts for far too long. I'm sick of all the socialism that exist in this country. SICK AND TIRED OF IT! (PARDON THE PUN) I DON"T SMOKE, I DON"T DRINK, AND I DON"T EAT FAST FOOD, SO WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE THAT MADE POOR HEALTH DECISIONS IN THEIR YOUNGER YEARS???? Explain it to me!!!

FICA & SECA Tax Rates

FACTS TRY AND DISPUTE IT!
