It was also not the job of the government to intervene in the dying process of Terri Schiavo. Yet that's exactly what the so-called small government Republicans did. For the Repugs, government is evil unless it is them at the helm, then they'll ram their power down your throat.
this is the basis of our problems. and President Obama addressed this last night when mentioning finding the fine line where Government becomes too big or too little.
If we are to error on either side I prefer too little.
Diversion..when Barry gets slammed and Michael his wife shakes her head in the audience...they have no choice but to bash Bush one more time. It is like a fix to them..it makes them feel so much better. Lib loons who resort to this should try sucking their thumb and rubbing their blankie. Don't they realize they won the election and its time for them to step up to the plate and take responsibility??
President Obama is offering a public option not a government healthcare takeover. HOWEVER, George Bush presided over a complete government takeover of airport security..Yep, he fired all those private security companies and private workers and created an entire government agency with governmnet workers to take that duty over. No competition, just a COMPLETE takeover. Everbody that stands between you and a flight wears a government badge.
So, conservatives, where were you when this was going down? It took a good while to complete this takeover. Was this BJTP (Before Joe The Plumber)? Why no outrage? Was it the fear of another attack? If that was the case, people losing their lives via lack of healthcare far outnumber those who have lost their lives due to terrorism.

Maybe because conservatives are smarter than liberals and only voice dissent when they disagree, not as a matter of policy.
No, conservatism is hypocrisy. If you can take Obama to task, you should've taken Bush to task. You claim to stand on certain beliefs then stand by them..Not only when a (D) is in the Whitehouse.
Liberalism means consistency.
Its not hypocritical, its common sense, it made good sense, given the circumstances for the government to get control of security! It makes no sense at all for them to try to take over health care. You must forget that us conservatives are big on law and order, security, military and all things to do with guns!!

You continue to make my point..The government is not taking over healthcare. So, because you're big on law order (despite allowing the country to be attacked) you're also big on Big Government? See how hypocrisy screws you up.
