Hi you may not know me, but i want to first and foremost thank you for your contributions to this country. The majority of you (at least 51%) have served our country fought in wars and made a valient government sponsored effort to create the American Middle Class. Your contributions to politics, economics, finance, business, and other pursuits of the American economy are appreciated. However, your assumption that my generation will pay for your retirement and medical benefits is unfounded and according to you socialist and wrong. I could not agree with you more. You are currently advocating no collective help in the form of government redistribution of wealth (my taxes). I salute your efforts, because as a libertarian, regardless of my ideological leanings i was completely willing to go against those theories for the greater good of society (helping your old a&& get medical care). I was willing to go against most of those small government ideologies to help other older American citizens in their time of need and i offered my hard earned tax dollars for your retirement and for your health benefits, so you could be afforded the chance of an extended 10-15 years of life regardless of income. I know only 5% of your generation will have the means to support themselves without the help of collective younger individuals and I applaud them for their success, but i realize 95% of you require my help and the help of many other younger individuals, that currently pay taxes.

I rescind my offer to you, because of your blatant disrespect for my hard earned tax dollars and unwillingness to serve the greater good of American society. I look at your hate (racism) and your lack of accepting progress as my reasons for actively participating in your demise. If given the opportunity presented by both Mr. Steve Forbes and Mr. Dick Army i now unapologetically salute their appeal to eliminate both social security and medicare. I will now work with them and attempt to get all my younger friends involved to help them accomplish their mission. You have created a monster and you will reap what you sow. Your distortions of history and your ignorant rants about self sufficiency have fallen upon deaf ears. You will now be required to be self sufficient and look after your own needs. I will petition my local state senator to get rid of medicare and social security immediately. I will happily look forward to the lower taxes i will pay once these two costly programs come to an end. You were offered a concession and i was wiling to help your risk pool, but as of October 2009 i rescind that offer and i will hep press forward with your ultimate demise. I only hope that your fellow baby boomers, that extremely small 5%, that has been able to attain the ultimate success and American dream are willing to help you in your time of need, because i no longer will. Good luck and may God's speed be with you!

Regards,
Dorock99

Dear dorock,
As a "Baby Boomer" that paid into Social Security all of my working life and as a Democrat, kiss mine. While you (and most in your age group) were still on the T***y, I (and many more like me) were working and paying taxes while raising a family and caring for our elderly. We supported welfare for the needy and defended our country as well as contributied to the health and welfare of many nations around the world. We put ourselves last so that we could help others.
We were willing to give you a chance to grow up and mature, hoping you would grow out of your snot nosed attitudes. Now, I understand you think that you're entitled to all the toys as we gave and gave so that you could have an enjoyable childhood but, guess what? It's your turn now so, grow up and wipe your own behind and while your at it you can wipe ours too.

The younger generation is sorely lacking in common sense and education. Whiners, almost every single one!

Common civility and manners seem to be on the wane recently.

I am a baby boomer and I agree with you 100% and I support your fight to end SSI and medicare. But you do not have to worry the system will come crashing down on its own, there is no way that the gvt can come up with 54 trillion extra money to pay for it.
Socialist programs last about 2 generations and benifit those people and the generations after that get screwed.Any baby boomer that thinks they are getting SSI and medicare are in for a rude awakening our country will be way to broke to pay for their old age.
Fight on young brother and I hope you win,it is fair for you to keep your own money and spend it on consumer spending which is needed. It serves the baby boomers right they should have been fighting this long ago.

Msina, i understand your concern, but your gross generalized efforts do not necessarily apply to me. For most of my life i attended private schools and graduated from a private college. I do owe some money to the state primary education system and a brief allotment to the state higher education system.

We young people collectively only benefit from the following programs

1. Primary Education
2. Secondary Education (via state colleges if you're lucky)

You older Folks

1. Social Security (on our backs)
2. Medical Health Coverage (on our backs)

These two programs alone trump most educational budgets for primary school and secondary school for the masses.

Us young people were the one's willing to contribute to these ponzi schemes you individuals had been irrationally supporting, but since Barrack Obama has become president, you individuals have been telling us it is socialist to care for or contribute to the retirement/health and well being of other individuals in our society, which is it?

You either want it or you don't. I'm more willing to help contribute to your medical expenses than i am to your retirement expenses, so choose one or the other, because I'm not willing to support both!!! I'd like to send my kids to college and if all my money is going to support you in your older age how am i going to prepare my children for the future?

As a baby boomer I surely will be screwed if you accomplish your mission. I would just like to let you know that around 1987 "they" said there wouldn't be enough money in social secuity for us, so they doubled the taxes they were taking out for it. And then "they" never saved it, just put it on the books and spent it. What you should be doing is getting rid of ALL 535 empty shells up there screwing 300 million of us (435 in the House and 100 in the Senate). I do understand how you feel though. I remember being mad at my parents for leaving us with this mess and being so stupid as to believe what they saw on the news (although I never told them--why ruin their day). I tried to educate my daughter to some things but she could care less. She's living her dream and I don't want to ruin her day either. When the sh*t hits the fan, and I think it will be soon, you better know who your enemy really is.
