Bolding mine...

Sad but true.

There is far more that our politicians have sold in exchange for votes, and continue to do so to ensure they can keep their cushy career jobs for life.
"Cheapening" American citizenship in the global era that we are entering goes hand in hand with cheapening America abroad.

It should be clear enough that recent presidents and their administrations have been encouraging and fostering immigration from Mexico, legal and illegal. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, while governor of Arizona, demonstrated support of illegal's and illegal immigration all the while she was governor.
Was it Reagan or H.W. Bush that gave blanket legal status to immigrants? One of them guys back then did.

Of course, they need more willing slaves. Why wouldn't they?

That 12 million is way off. Border Patrol estimates 60 million are here.

You're 110% correct! The point is, conservatives are or will be quick to state how Obama is doing this all the while their progenitors did it too. Kinda like forgetting Reagan and H.W. Bush addressed school kids but when Obama does the same thing it's spreading some socialist agenda to those school kids. Totally wacko.

The majority don't make enough to pay taxes so your plan is to get these un-educated Peasants jobs paying 15 bucks an hour?

Please show me the owner of an ag business looking for stoop labor that will be happy to pay 15-20 an hour for stoop labor.

They will simply keep hiring Illegals while this horde of un-educated gain access to the rest of our Social Service network they couldn't access before.

Now they can access the full menu of Social Services their anchor kids already had access to. Great idea for success.

They can't walk to India.

ONLY BECAUSE they can pay back into our system and it would cost wayyy too much to gather them all and deport them.

Make them legal (I hate it too-TRUST me) AND THEN make border security so tight that even a cricket cannot go through with the tax money THEY will start paying.
that was already tried and failed. If you've ever lived in southern calif, you would see that legalization would open up a pandora's box of entitlements to these newly legalized immigrants. already, they are able to put their children on many free programs that are routinely denied to working american citizens. just what will happen when they are legally allowed to apply for programs and receive income tax refunds when they file their federal and state income taxes? there are all kinds of programs that are proposed in CA Assembly to assist the "poor" , but usually with the condition that the recipient be a citizen or green card. they would probably give it to illegals but the voting public and republicans won't allow it. they will cost even MORE than they do now. I haven't even mentioned that they compete with native americans for jobs that were traditionally done by americans. because of their influence, many of those jobs no longer pay decent wages as they once did.

Let's take care of gays first before we take care of these illegals. at least, we are citizens and pay taxes!
