Is Democracy a Christian American concept or a pagan Grecian concept? Is Republicanism a Christian American concept or a pagan Roman concept?

Is the concept of a King being responsive to his people (Magna Carta) a Christian concept or an Anglo-Saxon concept?

Is the concept of a person being totally submissive to his King while at the same time considering him as the savior of his soul both a Christian concept and a concept included in the US Constitution?

Just wondering....

"In God We Trust" could be connected to any religion that believes in God (not just Christianity).

The 10 Commandments were gives to Moses in the Bible and Moses was Jewish. So the 10 Commandments first represents Jews and second Christians.
Jewish God (the God of Abraham) and Christian God are one and the same.

Most of the founders were Christians, and most of US population was, and is Christian, and our laws have been written in line with Biblical principles. We are a Christian nation, and I am sorry if you don't like it.
What exactly do you mean when you say the US is a Christian nation? Is Christianity the official state religion? Are only Christians citizens? Are non-Christians beholden to a separate set of laws? Are religious not Christianity disallowed - or can they be disallowed if the Christian majority decides to make it so? Is not being a Christian grounds for deportation? Do we only allow immigrants who are Christians to come to the US?

You could call it a Christian nation the same way Turkey is a Muslim nation yet both have secular governments. Christianity is dying out in America, the only religious people I know are my parents age or older. Young people who are Christians generally don't admit it since people make fun of them.

I just told you we allow other religions.

Vast majority of Americans are Christians, the founders of the nation were Christians, and we follow Christian traditions, and our laws are written in line with Biblical teachings. We are a Chistian nation.

"A nation which does not remember what it was yesterday, does not know what it is today, nor what it is trying to do. We are trying to do a futile thing if we do not know where we came from or what we have been about.... America was born a Christian nation. America was born to exemplify that devotion to the tenets of righteousness which are derived from the revelations of Holy Scripture." - Woodraw Wilson

"The rights of the colonists as Christians...may be best understood by reading and carefully studying the institution of the Great Law Giver and Head of the Christian Church, which are to be found clearly written and promulgated in the New Testament." - Samuel Adams

"Whereas the Bible, the Word of God, has made a unique contribution in shaping the United States as a distinctive and blessed nation and people; ...deeply held religious convictions springing from the Holy scriptures led to the early settlement of our Nation; ...Biblical teachings inspired concepts of civil government that are contained in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution of the United States....designate 1983 as a national 'Year of the Bible in recognition of both the formative influence the Bible has been for our Nation, and our national need to study and apply the teachings of the Holy Scriptures". In 1988, a Joint Resolution of Congress declared that the first Thursday in May of each year is to be a National Day of Prayer.

So answer my question please. What do you mean by we are a Christian nation? What tangible aspects of that are present in American governance?

Um, yeah, as we should. It only states in the Constitution that NO official religion should ever be established. That includes christianity.

There is no need to establish "official" religion when it is accepted that we are a Christian nation. We don't have an official language either. Does that mean we are not an English speaking nation? No, we are a Christian English speaking nation and there is no need to make it "official" when it is already a just a fact of life.

most aggressive nation on the planet.
highest prison population on earth.
what is scary is this is interpreted by the incarcerated as a discrimination issue, not a behavior issue or religious backsliding issue at all.
Christians--that is the "followers of Christ" have routinely throughout history acted aggressively and locked people up, killed people, discriminated against people (Christians and non-Christians alike), etc. So in that regard, this country does indeed act like a "Christian" nation.

I think what you meant is that Christians, for the most part, don't act like Christ.

This.

While the majority of its citizens may be Christian, the nation itself is secular.

This is undeniable.
