I can see your point Kirdik. I'll refrain from using that term in this thread.

Hey I felt since Elizabeth Hasselback used that term speaking of the tea-partiers, HEY I COULD TOO!

BY the way not to lessen the disrespect some may feel over that term, BUT if I am not mistaken TEA-BAGGING is used in many other settings than what you speak of.

For example, I've heard ppl use that term to describe when a car side-swipes another. The car was tea-bagged!

But again I see your point Kirdik.

I know that it's been used in the media but I'm pretty sure many people here find this term offensive.

Well said. Some people only choose to look at the surface results, as in "Ooh lookie, my 401k balance is rebounding ever so slightly!", without probing any deeper than that.

Some people choose to ignore the fact that our deficit has skyrocketed and that sooner or later we will have to pay for it with higher taxes and/or cuts to their beloved social programs.

Fact is, Obama has only hurt this country and the effects of his decisions are largely yet to be felt. That's not to say they won't be though. People need to stop looking for instant gratification and ask themselves the longterm impact of some of this crap Obama is piling on us.

Armageddon! Get out now! Obama will ruin America! The Depression is coming! The sky will fall! America will fail!

Ok? Why hasn't America failed under Obama as all you fear-mongers claimed would happen?
I don't care how much hate you have for Obama or how you try to spin things. America in May 2010 is in a helluva better position than it was in the End of 2007.
Admit it Fear-mongers! You all called for the end of the world if Obama was elected. America is still standing and getting better and better.
What the heck happened guys?

Now I'm not a liberal by a long shot nor have I completely agreed with everything Obama has done. But I do recognize that his leadership has done wonders for the country (something you all continue to ignore)

Obama's administration saved the country from an inevitable economic collapse!
Do you all even remember how bad things were in 2007???? We were in a RECESSION that was getting worse and WORSE. Everyone said America would undoubtedly enter into a DEPRESSION worse than the 1930s!
What happened? The recession was OVER in Obama's 1st year! America's economy (GDP) has grown every quarter since!
The Stock Market has recovered and hovering near 11,000 (after being in a free fall before Obama)

What about jobs? Yes unemployment is still high, but no intelligent reasonable individual would blame Obama for the surge of job losses (caused by 2007 recession and its aftermath). When Bush left office over half a MILLION jobs were being lost every single month. Now under Obama, America is actually GAINING jobs every month.
Where do you think Unemployment would be if Bush was still in office? Thats a rhetorical question because we all know it would be a whole lot worse.

There are so many areas I could point that has indicated that not only has Obama saved America from near collapse. He has managed to steer America into the Right direction.

Which is the exact opposite of what you Tea baggers said Obama would do!
Lets not get too much into canned tea bagging talking points (the deficit *hey you didn't care under BUSH why do you care NOW?*, heathcare, Banks and car company takeovers, etc...)

I am merely pointing out that you Tea Party (Conservative, Repubs) all cried about how the HOUSE would crumble and be destroyed under Obama.

Ignoring talking points when you all look up and STILL see the HOUSE (America) STANDING, improving, and getting better and better....

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA????
Obviously, you are not paying attention to anything.

I was going to address the OP, but then I realized while reading through the rest of the thread that not only can he not see past his own nose, but also that the educational system failed him miserably, in every way. Horrible spelling & grammar, inability to use the most simple of logic, "debating" (used very loosely here) by insulting and wholesale dismissal of the respondents' points... I'm not going to waste my time. The guy's clearly a troll - I don't know why you guys are bothering.

To the OP - let us know if you ever want to have an adult conversation. Until then, the kiddie room is over there -->

Also the largest increase on the unemployment % (during this crisis) actually occurred during Bush's tenure.
Unemployment went from 5.2% in mid-2008 to 8.5% in December of 2008!
Thats a 3.2% INCREASE in 6 months!

Under Obama unemployment is up to 9.9% from 8.5%, which is a 1.4% increase!

WITH that information you all still say Obama is the problem????

Secondly in regards to my argument about the National Debt vs. our taxes (by percentage), like I said I'd be more than happy to be educated on how taxes will increase with the national debt.
Even though statistics show otherwise.
You took a stab then did not provide any information to back up your point.

I'm waiting to be educated on this point....
Bush never made the GUARANTEE that unemployment wouldn't go above 8% if the HORRIFIC stimulous was passed. That would be YOUR man Obamam.

Hmmmm..... now they're telling you he "GUARANTEED" it?

PolitiFact | Cantor and other Republicans say Obama promised stimulus would keep unemployment rates below 8 percent

This is sooo weak. Come here with a sensible debate. I'm not a troll read my post history here.
This is where you know your argument is strong, when the opposition whines and make it seem like its not worth their time over some obscure unrelated point....

LOL yeah right!

RINGWISE, Obama's guarantee doesn't negate my point. That was a broken promise, no doubt but still and all
Under Bush's administration unemployment dipped twice as much as ANYTIME under Obama!

Yet according to you all, Obama is the one DESTROYING AMERICA....

Unbelievable!
