I agree with you because it doesn't make a difference either way. And much of the reason for the mess we are in today is connected with religion. 32 pages of over 300 posts over an issue that could not be more irrelevant to our future in 2010.

If there is anything we have learned from the history of religion, it is that it dwarfs all other reasons for conflict and strife in man's history. Fortunately the numbers of people who understand how much better off the entire world would be without it are growing - but unfortunately at a painfully slow rate.

It is going to be totally hilarious, when November rolls around, and the Democrats realize they lost the only moment in time, to get the knife all the way to the heart. They worked waited 8 years, to get 2 years of lost promises. The smiles from the real American citizens, will once again be sincere and not just for spite.

They are really going to crap when the legislature passes a vetoed bill off the Presidents desk. It is going to be awesome.

This real American stuff is too funny.

We're all real Americans. Liberals and conservatives, Democrats, Republicans and Independents, history buffs and those who don't know and don't care a jot for history. All Americans. Real Americans.

The whole "real American" thing smacks a bit of fascism, doesn't it?

I see you don't understand the importance of religion. If it wasn't for religion there would be no civilized societies. The biggest bully on the block would rule. There would be no laws, no right from wrong, raping, pillaging and murdering would be common place.

Deism doesn't reject religion or faith, you know. It's not atheism.
However, deism is a favorite topic among progressives and for obvious reasons.

Anyone who advocates for the American system to be over thrown and something else put in place IS NOT a "real" American. Real Americans love and fight for this country HOW IT WAS INTENDED TO BE, not some progressive utopia that will never exist. The Constitution even refers to these people as the "Enemy".

Baloney. And I suppose there would be no gold, but for Rumpelstiltskin.

Man built all civilized societies and ruled with laws written by men - who are perfectly capable of knowing and fully understanding right and wrong.

A real American bows to NO nation!

A real American listens to the voice of their piers.

A real American does not take for granted, what our forefathers did to build a great nation. The greatest there has ever been.

A real American fights everyday to keep the USA unique and not just another nanny state European nation.

A real American has a say, instead of the King.

Yeah right.....What exactly would keep people in line? What would they be afraid of? Religions built civilized society. The laws you speak of that were written by men stem from RELIGION! In every country in the world it is that way.
