Minnesota looks dreadful. I don't think they will go anywhere in the playoffs. Defense is way too soft and their offensive line can't protect QB well.

New graphic on the screen….almost two quarters later…..largest comeback in NFL history = 32 points in 1993.

Currently 3:12 left in the 4th, score 36-28 Indy, Vikings have the ball at the Indy 40.

Indy gets the ball back on downs at their own 44, 2:52 left.

Indy drove to the Vikings 36 and had to decide between going for it and attempting a 53 yard FG.

They went for it, with Ryan keeping the ball.

The spot = a few inches short after the measurement. Jeff Saturday challenged the spot and lost the challenge.

The first play from scrimmage for the Vikings…….64 yard TD for Cook.

Two point conversion good.

36-36 tie with 2:15 left.

Tied 36-36 at the end of regulation.

Vikings win the toss, and will receive the overtime kickoff.

Obviously a terrible distinction for Ryan if the Colts lose…….being on the losing end of both the biggest comeback in league history and the losing end of the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history.

Colts eventually stop the Vikings and force a punt, getting the ball at their own 12.

Colts advance the ball to 2nd and 10 at their own 34, 3:10 left.

Colts 4th and 9 at their own 44 and punted with about 1:40 left. Vikings get the ball at their own 18.

If the game ends in a tie, the Colts would = the first team in NFL history to have two ties in one season.

20 seconds left, completion.

Lined up with 1 second left.

Colts called for a delay of game penalty re holding the receiver from getting up.

Kick is good.

Vikings win 39-36.

Largest comeback in NFL history.

Doen’t help the Niners , but I’m still glad I watched the game.

I’m assuming you don’t generally follow sports i.e. you’re (oddly) breaking it down to ‘negative things said about him’ vs. reality/his overall performance and injuries.

What does being a ‘good guy’ have to do with performance and injuries? It’s sports i.e. it is what it is. Smith went on to have a decent run with the Chiefs, anyway.
Say what you want about garapolo, but while not a great quarterback, he does win a lot of games. I know if he has to march us down the field to win the game, he probably is not going to do so. I agreed with others that we had to change to a more dynamic qb and we are hoping lance is that. Garapolo isn’t mobile enough to move around. He doesn’t have that edge that top qbs have. The niners have so much talent they might not need him to play great. I thought this year his passes looked better and he seemed a little more poised in the pocket.
Do I wish he was playing over purdy? No for the sake of the team I think purdy gives them a qb edge.
While you don’t care I like to think that good people get rewarded in life. I see enough atheletes that are not good people that have good lives and careers in sports. Others that keep their noses clean still have bad luck.

Point being, there is no debate/question at this point; it is what it is (and it doesn’t have anything to do with who is a ‘good person’ or not, by your standard or mine - lol).

That said, many of us knew it was only a matter of time before Garoppolo was injured (again). Neither he nor Purdy are going to give them an ‘edge’ in terms of a QB; they have heavily relied on their (outstanding) defense and running game.
