Thanks MA. Looks like I may have to build a Lanai if I go with a pool, not sure until I talk to the pool guys. There is a small weird shaped covered area but it needs to be bigger.

Mike it is in Punta Gorda, 1 bridge out then about 5 minutes to the harbor. I will have to put a lift in, I may as well put in a 12k lift looks like what is normal on the canal.
Gunna look kind of funny with a 17 ft. flats boat on it. I guess I will have to put several walkways on the lift beams just to get on the skiff, oh on a ladder as well, cause I know I will eventually fall it.

The house is about 1.8 miles from the boat ramp at Ponce De Leon park so that will be nice as well.
My plan is to mostly trailer to the different areas and fish.

Sorry MA for hijacking your thread it's just I am excited to be here and finally getting what I have wanted for a really long time.

Clint

Day # 620 update
Okay it just feels that way. It's really day 62.
Brick bullnose and coping are in place. He put those diamond buttons (see photo in my June 20th post) all around the coping, about every 4' or so. Bricks and waterline tiles are nearly all grouted in place, with just a bit left to finish tomorrow. Colors are slightly dulled due to just rising the grout off. Still some dirty residue on there, I'm sure.
Next major milestone will be the pavered decks.

Looks really nice.

I believe I see the pallets of pavers in the background.

Have they given you an estimated finish date?

Gary

No Gary, not yet. They should rename the company Custom Pools by Non-Commital.

MA is there a month where it is cheaper/better (off season) to get a pool built? I would like a pool but do not want to go thru what you are going thru.

However when finished and you are floating around in it with a nice libation, in your hand, the only thing on your mind is where to go fishing. Just hang in there, my friend.

I'm fine, really. I'm a believe in that old saying:
You can have it good, you can have it fast or you can have it cheap. You cannot have all 3.

I am happy that it is being done with high quality and according to the artistic design. I'm also pleased with the price, compared to other contractors. I recommend these guys but you must not be in a hurry.

That looks really nice Bill. Even from that distance, the diamond buttons look great - a very nice touch. You'll be swimming in no time...we hope.

My pool was fast and it's all good, not cheap by any means. I am very happy with ours.
