Canes are in the hole for 300 million. Sad to see them go. I wonder how PNC arena will survive. I hear NC State wants to build a basketball stadium on campus.
The main flaw with that is the owners want money for new franchises. They won't get that under this and if they are really owed $300 mil, seems like that money could come in handy.
A few bloggers churning the same rumors doesn't make chat into fact.
That said, I could be a bit more comfortable...
All I know to do is to buy the season ticket plan and be a homer fan. Works for me until something else develops.
And, sales are up 40% this year over last. Optimism.
When I read that article it really made me think that the Canes have no future here. It's unfortunate as I'm a season ticket holder and have kids who play hockey.
