The spiders on the other hand... A man eater tried to attack me the other day.

Move to NYC and beware of rats. Some in the subway tunnels are close in size to dogs.

Just more “sky is falling” internet messageboard drama. Snakes are the last reason not to move here. Wouldn’t worry about it at all.

In one month we had a rabid raccoon fiasco and also 3 baby ring necked snakes in my kitchen that
came from an inherited auto in our garage just hauled from Ohio. Cute little buggers.

I had moms at my kid's school that I didn't know asking me if I was the mom with the snakes & raccoons.
Apparently my kids enjoyed sharing those stories.

The snakes are nothing, we have spiders as big as frisbees.

New readers will do anything for a byline. The snakes are just as frightened as you. Don't go poking in the wood pile and you'll be fine.
It is a combination of things. The statistics have not been adjusted for the human population of these areas, so it is very exaggerated.

Besides, poisonous snakes are not a problem unless you eat them.

Lived here my whole life and never been bitten by a snake. Sure they’re around but if you leave them alone they’ll do the same. And I’m afraid of them too...I just don’t go near them and it works out fine.
