CTC has wisely minimized the amount of retail they're obligated to build -- such that their minimum retail square footage is less than the existing Belk. That's a huge shift from CBL, which had a mall developer mentality and insisted on replacing the retail square footage on its site one for one, even though there's approximately zero retailers left who wouldn't prefer to be at either Crossroads (etc.) or Fenton.

Plans for some minor upfit alterations of the Sams-Jones house were approved last week, and along with them come some details. It will be called Michael's, and here's the proposed menu...unsurprisingly, it will not be cheap, with small plates in the $11-$15 range and most entrees in the $25-$35 range:
