Second only to the pet poop threads!
I like "suspicious character in the neighborhood" threads

I only let my wife purchase furniture from NextDoor. Nothing new allowed because she likes to rotate stuff so frequently. Have found some amazing finds, especially when people are about to have something new delivered and need the old thing gone ASAP.

I feel ND is loaded with white women in their 50s that are frightened of everything.

And, the losers that publicize, "I'll be away all weekend" and need someone to watch my hamster or whatever.--have told the bad guys their residence will be vacant.

I spend more time laughing at this feed: https://twitter.com/bestofnextdoor

OMG you guys are cracking me up. I love the responses to "what was the loud noise last night"...on my ND site someone actually posted that it was the newspaper delivery person. Like the OP never heard that before.

And yes, the "I'll be in Europe for two weeks starting June 23 at 4 a.m. and my dog won't be there either because I'm looking for someone to take him in during that time period. Please do not respond If you have ill intentions".

And yes - I need such and such done and I need THE BEST but I don't wanna pay a lot of moneeeeeee.

Sometimes you can tell people are drunk when they are posting. That's the best!

Today is D-Day. It could never happen today. We'd just turn Western Europe over to the Nazis.

Just for the record, here are the top 10 most recent threads on my Chapel Hill NextDoor:

New Dryer Vent
Council Discusses Building Size in Ephesus Fordham area
Looking for a Dog Sitter
Free Candle Jars
$100 Bunk Beds for sale
Outdoor Home Security Cameras (trying to decide which brand)
High Point Furniture Recommendations
Biweekly Cleaning Service
Twenty One Pilots Concert Tickets
Smith Middle School Overcrowding

It's pretty much the same stuff I see here on C-D, but with more of a local to Chapel Hill and my neighborhood emphasis. It's good for me.

I actually see MORE complaining on C-D. Top 10 posts right now in the forum:

The Nextdoor Effect
Won tickets for NC Symphony at Booth Amphitheatre (should I go?)
Just saw an interesting "Found pet" post on Nextdoor
Honey Pig
Local wine dinners
The importance of Triangle parents
Apartment Recommendations
Stayumbl
Lots of BMWs, Teslas, Mercedes now
Yoga Studio

Clearly this is cause Chapel Hill is at a higher level than the rest of the Triangle
