Got an email tonight that group #4 will be able to start making vaccine appointments as of March 17th.
Yep, me too. So exciting. Hope they get more of J&J soon too. I do not mind getting it. I'd rather get a single shot... but if not, of course, either of the other two is great too.
Yesterday (Sat), the Walgreens on Tryon Rd near the Wal-Mart had a supply of the J&J vaccine and any and everyone was in line to get it, no scheduling needed. Pharmacist and pharm tech there said they didn't care who came to get it. (No phase or eligibility questions).

Go to www.vaccinespotter.org . Select North Carolina and then scroll down to the map. All the green dots represent available appointments. They have all the CVS and Walgreens on there. Much easier tool to use. Then it will take you directly to the site, but you will know who has the openings rather than guessing. Best time to do it is 7 am. Most appointments drop then it seems. As the day goes on, fewer and fewer become available except for the off-cancellation ones. I have booked so many appointments this way for various people, my thumbs hurt.
I've been using vaccinefinder.org, which shows who has vaccines available but then upon going to the Walgreens site it says "no appointments available for the next 5 days."
Then I went to vaccinespotter and did a search for 25 mi from my zip code. No appointments available anywhere, though there are several places with no updates (gray dot).
There is a mass vaccination site in Greensboro if anyone is willing to travel. I scored an appointment there for next weekend.
