The sub-24 year old generation is just horrible with this as I've yet to meet a really attractive women in that age range with less that ~30 partners. I know a lot of women in their mid to late 20s that still go out 4 or more nights a week and hook up with 3 or more guys a week just because they can. Granted these are your club chicks and glamor model wannabe types that get all tarted up on the weekends. Still, they're not the only ones doing this sort of stuff. Not by a long shot in fact.
None of that is anything new.....Studio 54, anyone?

I never considered myself wild, but I did my share of partying/clubbing with my girlfriends. I like music, getting dressed up, dancing, alcohol and spending time with my friends (not in that order)...so I did it as much as I could. However, I never smoked, did any kind of drugs or hooked up much. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed meeting guys, but very few interested me enough where I wanted to give them my phone number, let alone exchange any kinds of bodily fluids with them.

You may not have had fun when you were younger, but at least you had your priorities straight and it has no doubt paid off for you now.

I can empathize with you on the shyness part. I open up easily when I'm around people I'm comfortable with, but initially I'm a very shy person as well. Maybe this is why I was never a wild partier- I always had trouble going up to people and introducing myself.

I guess shyness has a lot to do with it. It's funny how people who drank a lot in their teens, early 20's are now almost immune to alcohol. It takes some people quite a few shots, beers etc to get drunk.
My SIL had a bunch of shots on her 40th birthday and she is hilarious drunk. My brother told her it was time for cake. She said no because that would mean everyone would leave after.
She got really upset and said "I'm not going to let anyone leave. I'm locking the front door." She was so drunk she didn't grasp the fact that the guests were fully capable of going to the front door and unlocking it themselves
If I drink 1 glass of wine I get drunk or 1/2 a beer. It's quite pathetic.

Hate to say that everyone deserves a "wild phase" at least once. I missed mine when younger so it really hit about 30. At least I was extremely responsible along with the occasional wild flares. Better balance than in my teens????? lol

I think 'wild' is relative. For me, I was never 'wild' in the traditional sense (getting drunk, sleeping with different people, experimenting with new things), but I still had fun in the sense that I went out and never felt like I missed out on anything. If anything, my 'wild' streak consisted of going dancing at clubs until the wee hours of the morning and wearing very skimpy clothing, two things I can't see myself doing anymore. But I agree- everyone should enjoy life to its fullest before it's too late, regardless of what their definition of 'wild' might be.

I admit that kinda bothers me a little so maybe you ladies can set me straight. Are there women who don't really go through that phase or is this pretty much a rite of passage these days? Am I just looking in the wrong places or do I need to be more open minded?
Very regrettably, I missed out on the wild phase. I have been in ltr’s since I was 16. I’m 30 now.

Oh if I could turn back time…

You can't turn time back, but you can certainly start now!

I'm waiting for the "wild phase" to hit me! Hopefully it will happen after I graduate college when I will live on my own. Right now it's just the usual: occasional traveling, drinking, and whatnot...all in moderation. It's hard to be wild when you're shy and nervous around new and large groups of people.

Btw, what's LTR?
