At times, I can get impatient when it comes to that. I can think, "dang it why haven't I met anyone yet?" but then I remember that I have my whole life ahead of me and I don't need a guy to get through life and I have my liberty in singlehood!

I used to feel like this guy. Losing my ex fiancee was the hardest thing that I had gone through in my life. She meant everything to me.
Then a funny thing happened. I began to care about myself more. I started to do new things. Things that i discovered that I enjoy greatly. Things that I would not have been able to do if I was still with her.
To make a long story short. I like my life a lot more now (single) then I did when I was in a relationship. You cannot rely on anyone else for your happiness.
I am totally happy living alone. Well, I am not really alone.....I have a dog and six cats.
I am just not cut out to live with another person. I really like the freedom of doing anything I feel like doing....... without explanation.

Neither my wife nor I ask for explanations or permission...we just live how we like. Thankfully, how we like pretty much matches up, but there's no "you can't do that" or "you'd better do this" crap flying around.
