They do exist on AVERAGE, but there are exceptions. That's what I'm saying. So to say that someone is out of their league is silly since there is always a chance and you don't know what that person finds attractive. They could find you attractive. Self defeatist to think otherwise.
I wouldn't say it's self defeatist. I call it being realistic.
If you ask about 50 women you'll get 5 dates. That's fantastic. You could ask out 50 hot women in an afternoon or two. A really good looking guy will get shot down 10-20 times before he gets a date with a beautiful woman. A average joe(Most women think actual average man is ugly/not attractive for the most part. They've done studies on this.), could ask out 200 hot women and get no dates. He could go on for years asking out women and get a "no" every single time from beautiful women. Also, if you're averaging 1 in 10, you could easily just smile at a woman and wave and see her reaction on whether to approach. If they think you're cute, they'll act attracted and happy. If they think you're ugly, you'll get the "eww creepy" look. A guy averaging 1/10 with asking random beautiful girls on in the street/club is a stud.

yeah, you are just making excuses for losing. if you dont want to take your shots, thats your business. as far as i am concerned second place is only a little better than third, and few people remember those that come in second.

That's insanely high! 3/16 =/ 35. 35% would be 5-6 out of 15. Still, you're doing well, if your 3/16 stats are for real. You shouldn't be complaining.

I know that every man gets rejected. I heard even stars like Channing Tatum gets rejected (Hard to believe though).
Stop giving these guys false hope. Hot women want hot men. Let's start being realistic here. If I think a woman is out of my league, 9 times out of 10 I'm right. Therefore, I won't waste my time and approach her when I know rejection is imminent.
Some do, some don't. One woman I knew who looked smoking hot without even trying, said she always got attention from all the wrong guys who were interested in her for the wrong reasons. She gained weight and deliberately made herself fat, to fend off that type of attention. That was when she met her future husband. He figured he might have a chance with her, because she wasn't model-perfect. Even so, he was too shy to approach her, he used a wingman. I've spoken to a couple of other very attractive women, blonde, who said the same thing. "You're more approachable when you're a little overweight" they said.
In other words, the nice guys, the type of good guys they would want to build a life with together only considered them to be in their league after the women deliberately made themselves un-hot by gaining weight. I think that's very sad, even disturbing. Something's very wrong with the way things work in this arena. If more men didn't buy into the "league" theory, more happiness would be had all around.
