5 seconds is totally reasonable. Society has truly gone crazy when you can't even admire a woman for 5 seconds. Of course I'm sure when it's a "cute" guy doing the staring then it's fine lol
And females staring/checking out a man is rude to you?
Can I have those blinders? Because I'm thinking about stop looking at women altogether. Next thing you know 1 second is staring and I'm a creep for it. Can't win these days smh lol. Easier to stay single.
Five seconds is not a glance. A glance is a second or two. I don't like being stared at.
I will give you that. A glance takes a split second. 5 seconds is definitely staring, it's long enough for others to notice you're doing it, including the person you're staring at.
I used to stare at women often years ago, but over time I learned that it's really uncomfortable and rude to do that for a person. So if I'm on a bus or train heading somewhere, I usually pay attention to either a book or listen to music on my phone. It started becoming an issue for me when I noticed people would stare at me for long periods of time (maybe because I'm a ginger) that I really just became irritated by it. So I try not to do the same to other people unless I recognize the person as someone I know personally to an extent. I'm also naturally introverted by nature, so I get my fill of socializing whenever I'm at work/volunteering/hanging out with a close friend.
For me my biggest obstacle is meeting women since I don't really have a social circle, mainly the dog park or bars have been my only place for meeting women
Dog park. A lot of women love dogs. I don't. I mean, I love dogs, but I don't feel the need to run up to strange dogs or anything like that. A lot of people on the other hand can't resist doing that.

The easy solution is to wear sunglasses. Then you can stare all you want.
Join something! Take a class or workshop, volunteer for Habitat For Humanity (women do!), join a co-ed sports league or hiking or kayaking club, volunteer for a film festival or art fair, there are tons of opportunities, just pick one or two that fit your interests.
Ya maybe that is the beat option when you don't have a social circle and are never invited to parties
Eyes have no walls. I love staring and being caught.
