No. The question was leaving a pregnant woman. Gee, thanks for letting me have an opinion. My personal opinion of a man, in a committed relationship with a woman, and she is pregnant, by him, and he bails, I think he is pond scum. I would shout that, spray paint it on a wall.

Sorry you are offended by my personal bias on this issue.

Im sorry but Good men don't magically transform into the type of guy that leaves his wife/GF pregnant. He was a loser before that

If he is providing financially for the child then great. There is no reason for him to stay with the girl though.
No, I just meant leaves the woman.

I'm just wondering why it is different

If a guy breaks up with his GF because they are incompatible why is he pond scum if she happens to be pregnant, but he's not if she isn't?

Why does a guy have to stay in a bad relationship, or be considered pond scum, because she's pregnant or

Do good men break up with their non-pregnant S/O?

Can a good man break up with his pregnant S/O?

So, is he there to make sure she has prenatal vitamins (+DHA and consumes the correct diet), a labor partner, attends infant care classes, birthing classes, chooses the hospital, the pediatrician, the daycare facility, breastfeeding options, researches the appropriate car seats, cribs, lead levels in the home the infant will reside in, gets her to the doctor appointments, makes sure she's safe in case of bad weather (falls, car problems, etc), x the million typical things westerners deal with?

Or, is he skipping out on all that?

I don't think staying in a bad relationship is the way to go, but leaving the situation is problematic due to the baby, not the GF.

I see what filihok is getting at here. I can't really make an opinion on this since there is not enough information. I guess it just depends on the situation.

I'm talking about men who break up with their S/O strictly because they became pregnant. Men of high character just don't do that
