You said you " could'nt be happier " for having a child whose father is not in his life and does not pay a dime towards supporting him?? Yeah...okay.
Who in their right mind would be happy with that?? You have just learned to accept it and deal with it, is what you have done. I dont think having a child and getting ZERO support in ANY kind of way from the dad is something to be happy about. Which you arent. Deny all you want, but like I said, you have just learned to accept that he wants no part of your kid. Now, you might have learned to be happy with the life you have....but you certainly arent happy about the fact that your childs father wants nothing to do with him. I dont buy that for a second. But...whatever gets you through the day.
I really don't care what you think I know I'm happy and much happier than I would have been with my sons father in the picture but thanks for the input
You really should be making a fortune telling people how they feel, what a fantastic gift you have
I never thought about it until now, but when I look at the successful people I know, none were raised by a single parent. All came from married parents.
Because you aren't their friends you're going to pretend they don't exist?
In my post I clearly talked about the people I know. You then decided to introduce superstar celebrities. I still don't know those people. If I were making a claim that successful children of single moms don't exist at all, I would have said that.

Barak Obama - single mother
Michael Phelps - single mother
Talk about opposing, interesting examples.
I wonder if divorced homes are are included in the mix of single parent homes. I know that divorce provides it's own set of issues. I don't think I have any close friends besides my husband who didn't come from a split home at some point, either due to single parent, divorce, or widowed.
