What I see on this forum, instead, is quite a bit of trash talk and shaming towards single moms, not the other way around. .

There are actually natural ways to improve the symptoms of PCOS, by cutting back on red meat and refined sugar in your diet.
I really feel for you, PCOS is no fun. My mother had it, so did my aunt.

Oh, okay. I don't think you meant any harm, not sure that red meat has much to do with it. It certainly wouldn't work at all in the same way taking hormones would.
One reason you need to learn how to quote or use the quote function. It's confusing.

Again, I stated what I see on this forum. It's more of a general statement. At the end of the day I'm not sure what it's about. One thing I'm fairly certain of is that the questions being addressed, the groups being addressed, are not really defined in a meaningful way in order to put any kind of help into action. Before you (general you) can say "let's help" it would be a good idea to know who and what is being helped and how.

My mother has been taking hormones for years, she has no problem.
My aunt has been taking hormones for years, she was battling with stage four breast cancer.
I do think that the man should offer to be a support person toward the end of the pregnancy until after the baby is born, and should keep in touch to see how the health of mom and baby is doing.
I had preeclampsia with one of my pregnancies, which comes with a lot of potentially serious "what ifs", for both mom and baby. Certainly if I were a guy I'd want to be there to advocate for the needs of baby if for whatever reason the mom wasn't able to.

I meant hormones in the form of birth control, like what the other poster had originally mentioned she takes BC for.
I don't think it comes down to glamorizing. The issue is far more complicated than that. Perhaps I'm missing something, but where in the world is the 17 year old lily speaks of glamorized and by who?
Who is promoting it and how for these teens? As far as irresponsible teen sex goes- the first thought that comes to my mind is that the very groups most interested in halting teen sex that results in pregnancy are also against handing out free birth control. No?
Shows like Teen Mom make it look great. Not to mention our society's attitude of free sex. Sadly free sex has resulted in this situation and add in the welfare system that rewards those with children out of wedlock while penalizing those who don't.
