Is your rejection of Christ based on your own struggles/grievances with God?
I don't have any grievances with a non existent being. I am speaking of pure humanism. Considering your name I figured you would get it, obviously I was wrong.
Let me tell you what I really think of your question. People are not goods. If you don't like they way they are or they way they choose to run their life, then don't mix with them, simple as that. I find people who use that term are sanctimonious asses full of their own self importance and far too judgmental.
I think you might be having an existential crisis though. Your mental health appears to be gradually unhinging before our eyes.
People like that basically think those with no kids or spouse are losers and often try to ridicule singles into following in their path. People without emotional baggage seems normal, although not by mainstream society.

Do you think I'm too stupid to follow your thinking, Djuna?
Being the thread topic is about human beings I'll say that one who uses the "damaged goods" title on a human being is stooping to the low of the low. Heck, even animals generally get more respect. I also in the past used such a title till I figured I WAS WRONG to do so, so I stopped.
As humans we're flawed, so instead of using "damaged goods" why not state (could be in other ways but) that those people have traits and such that are not within your liking. Now doesn't that sound more intelligent and taking a higher road?
When I hear "damaged goods", I think something like this:
Agree. I have a few classmates who want to become therapists but don't know what they would do if they encountered someone who's "damaged goods." But, they also see the field as business, which to them it is, so I guess they would see people as a commidity and not as humans.
Perhaps a trait I'd be cautious and weary of is lack of empathy and a genuine disregard for others.
