Looks may be important when it comes to initial attraction, but just like money, power/status etc etc are not important to attracting women. You just have to be a genuine man in order to attract women, the way the nature intended you to be. That is all it really takes. WHen it comes to mans looks they are not of much importance. What is important, is that the man shows an effort to look his best, whatever his best may be. That is more than enough in almost all cases.
The personality is irrelevant if the looks are not up to scratch though - this is because the woman will not care to see it.

It was most certainly a factor that fed his narcissistic personality disorder.
