Davros, go to Williamsburg, Bushwick or Greenpoint Brooklyn. You'll thank me later.
Ha. Williamsburg is far more hipster than nerdy, though I realize there's some significant overlap of those groups.
In general I'd say going to any urban area with a highly educated populace, or even a college town, would be a good approach, though, if the OP isn't already in such a place.
Sounds good. However, schizotypal and avoidant are not the same as antisocial. Also, both schizotypal and avoidant make it harder for people to go interact with people in social settings such as the above other than anonymously on the internet. Yeah, it's an excuse. But it's also true.
Oops, I didn't see this until now. Having a personality disorder is much different than just being nerdy. Are you in therapy?

Yeah, it's a mix. There's a lot of faux-nerds with the fake big-rimmed glasses, but altogether, those areas are filled with a bunch of skinny, non-threatening guys. Barely any machismo to be found. These guys have all the girls over there. It'll be even easier if the OP is a tall Caucasian man.

Yeah, those are hipsters. I'm getting the idea our OP is not in that category.
I think many in this thread are confusing 'macho' with 'masculine'. Women roll their eyes at macho but tend to prefer masculine. Macho is being obsessed with beer and sports, "carrying" tight affliction shirts, riding around on loud motorcycles, grunting loudly in the gym, and bragging about the size of one's genitals. Masculinity, in my opinion, is being resourceful, responsible, facing challenges rather than giving up, sticking up for the underdog, and basing decisions on logic rather than fear. I don't think there is any reason why a poet or a loving father would not be considered masculine. To me, 'girly' calls forth images of someone who isn't willing to get their hands (literally or figuratively) dirty, who backs down from adversity, and who is unwilling to accept responsibilities. I don't know many women who are interested in this type of man.
Romantically pursuing younger women (i.e., 18-21 or slightly older) for serious, long-term, and marriage-intended relationship purposes worked for me personally, in my case...the stereotype that all young-adult women like to do is party, have fun, and engage in short-term relationships is not always true; some of them are in fact interested in having serious relationships...
Women come in all sorts of personalities. Meet them all and sift through the dirt to find gold.
This. You have to meet a lot of women to find the ones that are a good fit. They're definitely out there, but you have to come out of your shell and circulate in order to find them.
