Exactly. Don't marry someone who's sulky, manipulative or childish during the dating phase and engagement.
If they're being evasive and avoidant versus non-responding, I would still try to communicate to see what's going on. Someone doesn't just start acting like this for no reason and I couldn't accept that there isn't a reason and just carry on my merry way.
I don't think I have ever been in that situation, but I expect I would start doing some discreet investigating.
