Hell you can be handsome and be in great shape but if youre a little short alot of women will not date a guy including fat women..

Women are much more picky about looks then people think..
I don't know where it started but it is wrong. I am shallow and most of my female friends are as well. Not saying we all want handsome models, but most of us will not date men we don't find appealing. I don't care about height but some I know judge on that.

Yeah most people are as shallow as their options allow them to be..

I disagree. Honestly - it all boils down to each individual person. Everyone is different. It all comes down to what is important to people. Some people need to be with an attractive person to make them feel good about themselves. Some people have a very limited scope of what they find physically attractive. Some people want someone they can talk to and laugh with. Some people want someone to take care of them. Etc. However, I do believe that those lucky enough to want compatibility above simply looks or wealth are more able to find happiness in a relationship. In terms of people being as shallow as their options allow them to be - I'd say that shallow people are shallow people - and the more attractive a shallow person is, the more apt they are to find happiness. If a person is shallow and unattractive - it's going to be harder for them.

I don't know what world some of you live in, but the one I inhabit doesn't revolve around hot air and BS flung about like grease in a hole-in-the-wall chicken joint, on an internet chat forum no less, by those whose milk mustaches have barely begun to dry

If there are people in this world who are attracted to overweight folk, or overweight folk who are attracted to OTHER overweight folk, or NON-overweight folk, then they do not need your permission to exist and go about their daily lives, while these supposed know-it-alls spout off a bunch of statistics, studies, homilies, and blog posts from alleged pick-up artists, whose combined real knowledge holds about as much weight as, say, a bag of freeze-dried fish dung, and whose usual Saturday night dates are with porn mags with sticky pages, and strategically hollowed out cuts of beef from a nearby butcher shop

I tried mightily to stay outta this one, folks, but junk like this gets me torqued to the max...I mean, who the bleep died and named these jamokes the authority on what other folk choose to do with their lives, dating and otherwise? Sure as hell wasn't me
You know that saying "I couldn't agree more", I find it sometimes doesn't really do justice when people just drop it all of the time, sort of loses the true impact.

Here is a well deserved place for that saying.

..... I couldn't agree more.

Some think they have more options than they really do. I saw this online with these guys wanting thin women then wondering why thin women were rejecting them.

There's no reason to make ignorant statements that ignore the complexity of the topic, yet people do it all the time.

Soy, you can take what I said at face value or not. It makes no difference to me. I'm just a middle aged lady full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. I answered your question honestly because it stuck in my head, sorry you didn't like the answers.
