When the weather was really hot, I would put a single ice cube in his water just to cool it down a little. He'd be eating and sometimes the ice cube would make a little pop sound. He would just turn and look at it for a minute and then go back to eating. I made sure that it would melt while he was eating, so it wouldn't pop in his face, lol.

6" is nothing. If there was a 50 mile an hour wind then we'd talk about closing things down. Nope, we saddle up and keep on going. Snow days? Only when there is 30" of snow and nasty winds.
