I always prefer younger woman even when I was 21. At that time I dated 16-17 years olds and at 33 I dated 10 years down. Right now in my late 30's I prefer 27-37 years old and probably ten years from now it will be 33-43
Not trying to be abrasive, I just find it interesting when you look at the threads about older men going after younger women (and having success) and younger men going after their own age group and not having much success and then the younger men, in their frustration, get angry and blame women for their dating problems. The whole, maybe younger men should be angry at older men for poaching women their age was a joke (a lame one it would seem)--give them something new to blame other than women. Oh well. Next time I will be sure to add a or something so I am more clear.
The serious part of my message is for younger guys. And I suppose it's a bit off topic, but it's not really worth it's own thread. I am just saying that maybe some of these younger guys without luck should look to what it is older men are doing that's different. Trust me, it's not that a man is older that a woman is interested... it's something that goes along with being older. Maybe it's confidence, stability, they are mellowed out, maybe they have different tastes in entertainment, etc. Maybe knowing what it is that attracts younger women to older men would help younger men to figure out how to attract someone. Kind of like watching an older brother or something.

Good points in general, but IMO, it's still a myth that older men are mostly dating young women. It's truly not that common as most couples are peers, and so poaching is not an issue. Although young guys may learn something from older men who do well with women (even with women their own age; not just younger ones). By "do well", I mean dating not just scoring casual sex.

And actually, if you were better at 18 than at 40, you must not have learned much about women's bodies in all this time. Not trying to rag on you, but I was being a weeeee bit facetious in joking around. Younger men have the advantage in that they get right back up. However, their big drawback is that a lot of them need to be taught female topography. They tend to be peen-centric and that just doesn't get most women off all by itself.

They're more insecure, and they seek approval and reassurance a lot more than older women do. Most 40 women won't provide oral on command because they're afraid you'll beak up with them if they don't. And all that experience crap is nonsense. I've slept with my HS sweetheart multiple times over the years, and she was better back in the day than she is now too. (way better).
Here is the truth that most women don't want to hear. All a woman really has to do to be good in the sack, is to keep their body in check and be willing to let a guy have sex with them without a hassle. Willingness is the ultimate trait that will make a woman great in bed. Male anatomy isn't exactly rocket science. A good looking girl that will let a guy shove her face into a pillow every day regardless of the fact that she's into it, is a girl that will never be single............real talk

Look, this is the deal, just because you didn't didn't start figuring it out until later in life doesn't mean it works that way for everyone else. You also probably weren't heavily involved in drug culture and living on a touring bus at 17 either.
What a lot of squares don't realize is that a 20 year old stripper isn't getting any better in bed with age. Everything that took your boring wife 20 years to be talked into, that girl already does. This whole people get better as they get older crap only applies to people that were previously bad in bed or prude. People that are great in bed (particularly women) were good in bed pretty much from the get go. As someone that's slept with a ton of girls, I can tell you that sex only gets better with age if you weren't doing it right when you were in your prime.
