How do men feel about women who don't want engagement rings?

Is it a turn off (since it's an unconventional method)?

Why would a guy not like a woman that says "Nope - I don't want you to spend $10-20k on a ring"?

I became engaged a billion years ago. I did not want an engagement ring. I wanted an engagement fur. We looked for fur coats, and even though I am slender woman, I looked like a Yetti. So, I nixed the engagement fur, and still declined the ring. I asked for the thinnest wedding band hoping I would get used to wearing a ring. The ring did not work, but the marriage is still going strong.

Not a turn off, a turn on, 100%.

Turn off, but then again I'm a woman.

I rather a ring and no wedding.

What a waste of money.
Rings don't have to cost that much.
