There are loads of people that are fully functional high and you can't really tell they are (not just weed, but other drugs).

I'm not one of them, but I've known more than a few. Wake, bake, and maintenance throughout the day. Professional people.

People still smoke dubbies/joints. I thought we're in the era of pipes and bongs.

OP - you call him POTHEAD GUY.

Why would you want to be in a relationship with a person you describe that way?

Oh and btw....I sincerely doubt you're "allergic" - do you break out in hives when you kiss him?

Yes, he is a fully functional stoner. He works at a software house. He even met my parents when he was high as a kite and they had NO idea he was. He is exactly the same high as sober, the only way I can tell is because his eyes are red and his face starts twitching sometimes

I knew someone would say this. This is the reason I stayed with him so long, because nobody believed I was allergic except me. The last time I kissed him, my lips swelled up, I got a red, weeping rash all over my face and neck, hives all over my forearms, swollen eyelids and constantly watering eyes for 3 days. The allergic reaction as a whole happened on Valentines Day and has only just gone away.

The 5 month mark is still pretty new and "fresh" I would think all the things that bother now will only get worse after the honeymoon phase cools down and the reality sets in of how he deals with life.

IDK..I'm usually not one to say break up so fast, but in this case I think you are best served moving on.

Sounds like your issue is with the guys pot usage rather than with any other aspect of his character.
Time to accept him for what he is warts and all or move on..
