This isn't rocket science. Women like to shop, younger or older. A young woman will not naturally choose an older, wrinkled man. However, a lot of money will make a situation tolerable. Women like to shop, be taken care of, and to buy pretty things. An older man's money will allow her to do that.

Sorry, but I don't understand your comment at all. Most people do have the expectation that they and their partner will be exclusive.

well, thanks for the clarification, and perhaps i was over reading your comments as to exclusivity (control vs. fidelity?) since my impression was that it was more in line with the above "buying exclusive rights" over something else or something. dunno, don't really care considering the hyperbole suggestion speaks for itself.

Women also like to f***, and an older guy, unless he takes really good care of himself, won't be able to do the job. Even if he manages to stay "active" into his 60's, it'll only be a matter of time before he fades.

I hate shopping or pretty things. I don't need a man to take care of me.

well, at least to me, it seems like many are talking from two different perspectives: the "this won't last in the long run cuz of the incompatibility" versus "who said anything about marriage, lets just enjoy it while it lasts"

Me too. I think she is the one that thinks this is the norm. ( I create pretty things)
