Make the dates afterwards all about her... catered to her likes/dislikes and things about her you discovered or talked about. Shows that you were paying attention and that your focus is completely about her while you two are together.
I find it amusing that so many people expect to have sex almost immediately, yet giving the lady a flower on the first date is "too much" and "overkill". It's hilarious.
