lol!!! Good point.

Not sure why men automatically think that's what she is doing. MEN do that in the shower. I think most women don't.

If I was to start a thread like this I would be called controlling.

Mine does this too, for the record. 45 minutes average. I have just dealt with it

I take a long shower also drilled out my shower head water restriction device. You realize water doesn't drain into space it actually is recycled into the air. I'm on her side move out if you don't like it.

Since the OP hasn't returned to the thread, maybe you could enlighten us: what does she do in there for 45 minutes? Inquiring minds need to know.

I don't know either... I am a woman, but I'll keep my shower activities ... To myself.

3. Send her to me, I take long showers too.

Agree. I have long, thick hair, too, and I can't imagine spending more than about 10 minutes in the shower on a regular basis. First of all, who has the time for all these superlong showers? Second, don't people know they're totally drying out their hair and skin by routinely spending so much time in the shower/bath?

But, more importantly, it just seems so wasteful to be having such long showers every day. Unnecessary. Drought or no drought, and whether or not daily showers account for a small fraction of water supply usage, we're gonna be in big trouble if and when the Indians and Chinese, en masse, start living the way Americans do.

OP you need to move to an apartment like the one I had in the 1980s. You could take a 5 minute shower, maybe, then the hot water ran out.
