Your boy will back in the slammer soon enough if he keeps smoking. I hope, he doesn't kill anyone at his construction job.

Personally, I think this is an invaluable relationship learning experience you're going through.
I worked at a company where the employees all worked together at a previous company that was acquired. Most of the workers were recreational weed users. A condition of the then acquisition was to to wait to close 90 days so they could pass the drug test. Pot smoking is uber common in tech.

He's never high when we are together. Never. He never really gets high when smoking weed because we talk over the phone once he's done. He smokes just enough to make him get through the day. He has nerves problems.

Killing someone at his job is far of a stretch. He loves his job and his employees. He also have high hopes of opening his on mechanical business. He just have to stop violating probation

There's a very good chance he's been high at work. I don't know what type of construction job he has, but I know, there's dangers equipment being used in the construction industry.

Would anyone trust a person who recreationally smoked pot and has a job of driving a school bus, or train? I didn't think so.

The mere fact he's still smoking pot on probation (for a marijuana charge) tells me a lot about his character.

I know a lot of construction workers smoking and taking pain pills that makes me really wonder how they make it through the day without hurting themselves or others.

However, doing something illegal while on probation is just plain dumb.

Here in Cali it is sort of legal and nobody cares about those people driving or working as long as they have that permit thingy. Which I don't understand but that's the law.

He has taking some initiatives to stop, but he always slips up every now and then. The problem is will he ever get into trouble again.

There is your answer. SLIPS.

If he would be a changed person and fully recovered and a good member of society, he would not have slips.

Nothing hard to understand. Good people do dumb stuff. Very simple. I believe you that he is a great guy.

But he has issues and they aren't so minor that you can just overlook it. Imagine you get pregnant and have a child with him and he is in and out of prison. Do you want that life for your child? Always wondering how long he will be around until he is locked up again? Always wondering what he is doing when he is out with the boys, getting anxious when the phone rings or you see a cop car?

do you know how humiliating it is when the cops show up in the middle of the night, barge into your place and drag you both out of your bed? Or just him? And go through all your belongings, looking for the stolen stuff? While there are several cop cars outside and your neighbors are all wondering?

That's what happens when you are with a criminal who steals firearms and what not. Who slips.
Better don't sleep nude.

I am sure of the consequences but I honestly believes he has changed. The only problem he has right now is the weed smoking
