I’m so proud of myself! I HATE getting up early, but I already went out, got my walk in, and did my last minute shopping. I wish every morning I’d wake up to hear a Big Storm is Coming my way.

I overslept this morning. I needed the extra hour. Cleared a huge hurdle this morning. So all is okay.

Today was a cold start, but it’s a nice afternoon. Going up to 52 thanks to the warm flow from Kentucky .

I put down vacation time on my timesheet and here I sit, editing some docs and sending emails.

Got to stop that crap.

I've been off all week, and I rarely feel the guilt and obligation that some of my colleagues do about really taking time off and not working on my off time. I've been reading some about internalized capitalism lately, and it resonates--our society pushes that your worth is in how productive you are, and that doesn't have to be true.

I'm definitely done for the day. I've read that some people who are workahics or just work a lot that often times it can have roots in people not dealing with other things in their lives. Work is the one area where putting in more time is seen as being good, to a degree. They're not slackers, theyre going places blah blah blah.

I tend to lean more toward lazy than overly hard worker. I just really needed to get a report out the door before the holiday kicks in.

Ive only worked yesterday all week and don’t have to work until Saturday. I got so much done since next to no one was in my business unit in the office.

Tomorrow, I’m going for the big one. I am cooking slow cooker chicken and shrimp gumbo. I swear when I buy a new appliance like an air fryer or crockpot, I grow an extra testicle for cooking new dishes.

Sounds good.

I like to get up on some of that jambalaya. I'll have to take a crack at cookking myself. We try new stuff all the time, just haven't dipped into the Cajun yet.
