I've never walked by a stranger that insisted that I look at them.... (why would anyone do that?)
Depending on demographic and other variables, stats point to between 20-40% of the population has tattoos. If you are willing dismiss 20-40% of the population and not take them seriously, I surmise the problem isn't with the tattoo... nor those that have them.
Dating is being judgmental based on what you find attractive or not... everyone is entitled to that.
Beyond what you find attractive or would consider dating material, treating people in an unequal manner or holding something as superficial as tattoos against them IS being judgmental and certainly a reflection of your own character.
Right!?
I find it funny when those who make baseless assertions and assumptions get bent when they're met with criticism. Y'all don't represent the minority here, so you can cut the "We're being persecuted for our beliefs" nonsense.
You're not being lambasted for your "beliefs." You're being challenged in your ignorant and baseless assumptions. There's a difference between "I don't find X attractive. It's not really my thing./ and "People with X are [fill in the blank]." If you don't understand the difference between the two then perhaps brush up on fallacies and why they're erroneous.
Case in point: "I don't find overly muscular bodies, men and women, attractive. It's not my thing." Gets the point across just fine. What I wont say: "Body builders are vain and vapid. They look terrible. They probably don't have much else going for them."

I'd more readily "dismiss" someone who thinks the Earth is bigger than the sun and thinks it's cool to shoot at a hurricane than someone whose appearance falls outside my preferences. My high standards and all.
Are you running into a lot of sixty year old women with sleeves or something?

They’re fine on the Relationships forum. Fashion & Beauty does not allow them.
As a moderator are you sure you want to open Pandora's Box by giving the ok to discuss this highly controversial topic?
Tattoo's should be banned for discussion on all Forums since they are highly emotional subject guaranteed to 'cause unrest / flaming among the posters here.

There's far more controversial subjects on all of these forums than tattoos.
