My friend's boyfriend disliked how she had several tattoos on herself, not TOO many just a few. One tiny one on her wrist, and 2 others on her back. He had told her one night that he disliked girls with tattoos and she could not get anymore because he disliked them.

So yesturday when her and I were at a friend's house she told our friend that her boyfriend disliked tattoos and how she couldn't get anymore.

To me I think thats dumb if a guy told me to not get tattoos even though I loved them and surly wanted more, I would still get them no matter what they told me.

This guy has also told my friend that he dislikes girls with dark hair and prefers blondes so my friend is having her girl go back to its natural blonde color this summer.

What do you think of this situation?

I think your friend is an idiot for allowing this guy to have so much control over her and her body. If he does not like tattoos he does not have to get any and if he prefers a blonde he should bleach his own hair.

This is just a small tip of the iceberg when it comes to control and she had better RUN NOW AND AS FAST AS SHE CAN AWAY FROM THAT MORON.

Oh trust me I told her he is controlling her already but she says they're best friends and doesn't want to loose the friendship or the breakup plus their also friends with benefits/screw buddies and now an official boyfriend/girlfriend couple so she def. doesn't want to mess it up at all.

That guy is an idiot. If you don't like women who have tattoos or dark hair, then don't form a relationship with a woman who has those features.

No, she shouldn't stop getting tattoos and if she likes her hair the way it is, she should keep it like that.

This is coming from a guy who really dislikes tattoos, but I would not ever control my GF like this. If she decided that she was going to go through and get some tattoos, I'd just let her go so I can find someone who thinks like I did when it comes to tattoos.

She still needs to leave him. This sounds like the beginning of what could be a very abusive relationship (and abusive isn't JUST physical, FYI). If he is already telling her what to do over these 'small' things, think of what happens if they're married...ugh.

I mean, I'm fairly heavily tattooed and can completely understand why people would dislike them, that doesn't bother me...but I will NEVER be with someone who tells me I'm not allowed to continue my tattoo work or dye my hair a certain color.

That's his honest preference. Many guys feel the same way. He's not a bad person. I wouldn't call him controlling either. He just needs to find a girl without tattoos, if any still exist.

Tell your friend to get the hell out of there. Next thing you know he'll be keeping her barefoot and pregnant.

I think your friend needs to dump her boyfriend. Who is he to tell her what to do?

My friend tells me that they do get along quite well and hardly any fights verbal or physical ever break out. She says this guy is nice and does take her out to dinner or buy her things here and there and stuff so why would anything ruin it? Besides that no matter what this guy says she will likely follow through with it anyway.
