I went out to lunch with my daughter (6) and my grandmother. We were trying to get to a movie on time, didn't make it so we went and had our nails done. We had a great time!

Taught myself how to play Journey's classic blues/rock tune "Lights" on my acoustic guitar--a cool, laid-back, unplugged version, sung with much soul. I am on my own, but, as the late great Jimi Hendrix put it, "That's all right, I still got my guitar."

I woke up to the quiet sloshing of the waves on lake Michigan. Opening my tent, I saw it clearly, as well as hundreds of cedars. It made me happy until I realized it was time to go home. But the memory will be in my head forever, for sure
