I was a teen in the late-80s/ early-90s, and I grew up with that "goth" aesthetic; to me, the ideal woman is pale, thin, and small, with short, straight, glossy, dark hair (bobbed, preferably) and a little-girly face.
Preferably dressed all in black.
Think Bjork and Siouxsie.
I met my husband when we were in college and at the time I had very short hair - a pixie cut, grew it long, cut it off, grew it, cut it, and he loves me no matter what I do with it. In fact he told me he actually likes it short - he thinks its sexy!
No what happens is that most men want women with long hair. Why? because it is distinctively feminine. Just like women want guys with short hair - thats a masculine trait.
I like guys with long hair. My hubby, because of his job, no longer has that beautiful shaggy hair he had when we started dating. I wish he had that long hair again.
:c rying:
I had short hair when i was younger. Funny now that i am much older, my hair just grows and grows, i do have beautiful long wavy hair, down almost to the back. The thing is with my long hair, i have so many options, i can put it in a updo, a sexy ponty tail, set my hair, with curlers to make it a bit shorter, if i had short hair, i don't have those options, and i do think that pretty long hair is a nice attribute. I have it trimmed, but not ready to cut in any time soon, husband loves it, and i can't part with the long hair yet. And there are so many different ways i can wear it. I have been told that i have very pretty hair, short hair, is just not my thing. I have had it, did not like it. But it is to eaches own.
