Yup' you're right, Mr. 5150. My apologies. I get carried away when I see "the red blanket in front of the bull" sort of "There. Am I officially off the hook now? Soz I can sleep, perchance to dream?
Save it for another thread. Start it, if you're interested. Then I will give you my understanding.
Skeptics! This thread is your chance on CD to crush the theists with your simple and eloquent expalination of how the Universe came to be sans a Creator!!!.

Yes?
I'm not ashamed to say I do not know... Actually nobody knows...I thought you would realize that..I do not operate on faith the way theists do.
Why ask a question that cannot be answered...Is that some kind of creationists trickery?
Can anyone explain how the universe just came to be?
Again...unfounded assumption! Provide evidence that there was a time when the universe did not exist in some form or other. You must do this before we can discuss a 'creation'. Start at square one and work forward. Don't start at the end and work backwards.

Creationist?
Hello! Sterotype much?
Playing games with atheists...now yer talking.
This thread's idea brought to you...In cosideration of my friend Chuck, see here is the deal. Chuck was an atheist. "Was" being the operative word. The idea of Chance Origins worked for a while with him until he really looked and considered the issue. He was perplexed. Chance made no sense to him. He suffered from having an open mind. Poor fellow. Ended up a Christian. At age 57. Chuck. But he is OK. No worries.
So I thought it would be fun to pose a simple question. The one that pushed Chuck over the edge. Thus this thread.
Only if you want to avoid the question posed in the OP. Which seems to be the case.
Here is your question....
"That the Universe, with all of its matter, energy, life, physical laws just came to be all on its own. Without a creator/designer."
Now read the bolded part again and again. It is you that has introduced the creator/designer, not anyone else. You demand that we account for a first cause yet you want to be exempt from the first cause yourself. It's disingenuous to say the least....but then, what did I expect!

You admitted being a creationist in your opening post...Your dancing around the subject in question is not impressing me at all.
He's not a creationist. He accepts the Big Bang theory and theory of evolution as taught by science, but he thinks that god caused the start of the universe and in some way started / guided the development of life.

"Hey, how did the universe come into existence? After all, everything has to have a creator, right?"
The atheist's response:
"Well to be honest, I don't really know with absolute certainty, but for the current version, there are some ideas out there that comes from the professionals who study this stuff."
The theists' response:
*snicker* Ha! You don't know??? You do know, but you just want to reject that fact that MY god, the one in the bible, created the universe and I know he did it because the bible said he did it even if I don't believe the bible's version of how he did it. You atheists just crack me up.
*Walks away with smug look on face*
