Meh. Don't encourage him. He will post repeatedly to himself, trying to get someone to respond or remark, and if no one does, he'll loose interest eventually.

Not sure what you're driving at.

Jesus's mother was assumed to be an unfaithful woman. In a time when rape was going on, and women were stoned to death. The story of Jesus was a little like "God needs an heir, you will bear this child k thanks." That story itself is possibly what you are talking about?

On the other hand, conservatives don't have any higher incidence of rape than the rest of the population. This is, in fact, part of the hypocrisy I'm talking about.

Bernie Sanders 'Rape' Essay : snopes.com

Absolutely nobody called Bernie Sanders a rapist despite a very sketchy essay.

Why Aren

Liberals protest "rape culture" in US, which sometimes amounts to things as minor as "oh no, he made a catcall at me" or "I have trauma from a microaggression" meanwhile turning blind eye to actual rapist cultures. They blame the victims.

On the other hand, the other day on a campaign ad, I saw one of Trump's female supporters talk about "if I hadn't had a gun, this creepy rapist would rape me and possibly kill me." Instead she blew him away.

Jesus was a revolutionary, yes. He did things that were new and different. But different =/= liberal. In fact, conservatives voted FOR many of the changes we see today. Liberals were often part of the problem.

Let's talk about liberalism, since you seem to be so well-informed (misinformed). It was the slave party. It still is, it just uses tricks. For instance, these civil rights groups? Special privileges? They are a way to make blacks, women, and other minorities stand out (standing out is racism, colorblindness is not, even if it seems kind on the surface, it is actually quite patronizing). Not only that, this produces a situation where the government acts like an overbearing mother that behind the scenes bribes employers to hire their son, all the while making him think that he did it on his own. The result is backlash, which means that these quotas not only do not help blacks become industrious on their own, but now people are tired of being forced to hire people just because they are black, making there be a disincentive for hiring them.

They have seen entitled workers come and go, and tend to hire other groups instead, given the choice. This so-called "help" really wasn't. Compare to conservative capitalism, where everyone is given a shot, provided they can prove their merit (not an easy task, but doable).

Do me a favor and read A Dream Deferred. It is about a black dude making an observation on the actual fate of blacks after their so-called "affirmative action" groups. A record number are dependent on welfare.

Jesus was not a liberal. He was not a conservative either. He was for people, he was for freedom, and he was for love and justice.

"Let the little children come to me" vs "you should really think about planned parenthood." Jesus's teaching are centrist. Apolitical. What they definitely hsave nothing in common with is liberalism as we know it today. Secular hypocrites that care about the environment, they say, while owning fancy houses that burn fuel. Im talking about Al Gore.
Al Gore's ethical (in)consistency has zero to do with whether or not what he says about the environment or climate change is true. That is simply an ad hominem attack to divert from the points of his actual arguments.

I have concerns about the environment, yet consume electricity (though I do have solar panels on my roof). A concern with the environment does not equate with the belief that everyone should revert to the early 19th century and get off the grid.

As to whether Jesus would in the modern era be liberal or conservative politically, the scriptures are vague enough to make a case either way. Different Christians arrive at their politics independently of or perhaps despite the scriptures. Catholics outside the Catholic elites in Italy and Western Europe for example often have fairly liberal sentiments about helping the poor and disadvantaged; other Catholics can be quite conservative. The scriptures are by turns authoritarian and egalitarian, and it's just a function of what you cherry pick to embrace from them.

If 'Jesus' was alive today, most Christians would be throwing stones through his windows and calling him a leftie socialist.

shall i return my sword in its sheath before i deal with you? will you still strong when the lord punish you? the heat of his wrath that turn loose on you and melt you down like ore in a refining furnace. you never even think of him and his commands you all despised, so heaped upon you is the full penalty of your sins. whose time of punishment has come.

the bible is like a library of 66 books. from the bible we learn what god the father and the son are like. it took about 1,500 years for the bible to be written from Genesis by Moses, to the book of Revelation written by apostle john, about 65 years after the death of jesus. god guided them by the holy spirit to write what he wanted, so we can believe everything the bible says.

the most valuable treasure that the world affords, that inestimable treasure above all riches on earth? no bible translation is perfect therefore variety of translations and the light of the holy spirit are profitable for the finding out of the sense of the sriptures, the meaning of the spirit. which of the translators has given the right english word to attain the very sense of the tongue. it has pleased god to scatter those words and sentences in every translation of the bible set forth. you need the light of the holy spirit to identify those words and sentences in your reading and meditation
