Why do we need to persevere with God in prayer concerning the salvation of others?
Good question. Because you'd think a god that wants to save us from his own macabre damnation would just reveal himself openly and unambiguously in ways that his creation would understand.
Or in other words....not require faith. Which is what you use when you have no such evidence or good reasons.
Why do we need to persevere with God in prayer concerning the salvation of others?
That's a good question. Why try to "save" someone who does not wish to be "saved"? Doesn't that violate free will? If people can be forcefully "saved" whether they like it or not, what is the point of religion at all?
See like Jesus is the Son of God and family to God , the children of God are those who obey Christ and may be lead in the spirit and are family to God .... See like God wanted a family , were in other religions the son of God and family is rejected and people are separate from God , as God is higher up ...... But Christianity is family and family that prays for people who could be family .... Just like it is hard for people to get saved were they hate the church of Jesus Christ , and they will miss the prayers of the saints who are the family of God , and the gifts and anointing of Christ which Christians hold and they can break selfishness off their lives by praying for others , as this is the plan of God ......
Isn't praying for a change the person isn't asking for an impingement upon his free will?
I thought God just can't get in the way of free will (not even to stop rapes, murders, torture, abuse, starvation) because it would be so unloving if he did.
What ever happened to that?
Also, of only God knows who will be "saved" and who won't, don't you think he'll get a bad taste in his mouth about you if you presume to know as much as he does - IOW, you, just like God, know who isn't "saved"? You're God now? Have you told God that? He might be surprised. Per the Bible, he thought he was the only one.
I'm not seeing the upside here, from your religion's own POV and methods.
Because our salvation is of God -- not the fickle whim of man.
I wonder, why is it that Christians seem to think that if you don't believe in their Savior, you're not saved and just what exactly is being saved mean? I feel no reason for me as an individual and a nonbeliever in your Christian religion to have to feel that I have to be saved from anything other than your Christianity. Now that's just my opinion and I'm sure I'm not alone in that thought.
