Ark Encounter visits down, once again. (Revelations, bible, quote, faith)

The construction of the Ark has had some unintended benefits and has provided some insights.
One video on Youtube shows how long it took to construct with every imaginable modern day tool from power saws and nailers right up to steam piledrivers and 20 ton cranes, along with an enormous labor force. It is estimated it would have taken Noah and all his sons 500 man years of labor to construct the Ark.
Real Estate values in Grant County Kentucky may rise if the Chamber Of Commerce can get the word out how close homeowners would be to the Ark in the event of a flood of Biblical proportions. What with global warming and climate change, it could happen maybe...
If faithiests want to convert us, you guys really need to work on your delivery. Insult proselytizing doesn't work too well. "Hey, there's no such thing as God. The invisible man in the sky is a myth, you ignorant moron"-signed most faithiests everywhere.
Mark 16:15
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.'”
Matthew 24:14
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
Actually it's Christians that are obliged by their scripture to proselytize. Atheists are under no such obligation. If you would like to give proselytizing a shot, there are plenty of non believers already gathered here for you to enlighten. Atheists are under no obligation to be preached to without pointing out their objections to errors in fact, errors in logic, and unfounded assumptions, of course. But if there are no errors in fact, errors in logic, and unfounded assumptions in your argument, then by all means, proselytize away. Jesus will be proud of you.

Well then, I guess it's a good thing they lived so much longer back then? Noah is reported to have died at age 950, so he had half of his life to build other stuff!
Official results show that once again attendance is down at the creationist Ark Encounter for August, the second month in a row.
How do we know this as a fact? The local government assesses a .50 fee per admission to fund fire and other safety issues to all facilities. The report of August is in the above link.
Many of us atheists are not surprised. For you fundamentalists out there, try some thoughts and prayers.
Imagine all the good the some $100 million it took in public and Ham fisted fund raising could have done, say, in Haiti. Just imagine.
Your ilk has wanted to see this park crash and burn from day one. It just demonstrates more deep rooted hatred for God's people.
The park doesn't hurt anyone. It has brought jobs to the area. Many people enjoy the attraction and it has 73% excellent review rating on Tripadvisor with only 1% trashing it (probably atheists). No one can predict the future so it is silly to blame Ken Ham for weakening sales numbers.
Futhermore, it looks like the supreme superior Christian hate organization FFRF is behind this latest push to make the park look bad sales wise. Some other things to consider:

Looy said he couldn't specify the total annual guests because, in part, children under 5 years old attend the park for free.
"Thousands and thousands of young children under 5 who have visited the ark in the past two years have attended free with their families, and they will not show up in the 862,471 amount," Looy said.
Ark members with lifetime passes or annual memberships do not come up in the final ticket sales, either, Looy said.

Most atheists don't give a flying fig if the park crashes and burns or is a roaring success. What they care about is that public money was used to subsidize it. That means atheists, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and Jews had to subsidized a christian venue.
Now, how would you feel if a Muslim museum was set up in the same area, with the same tax concessions? Would you support that? Why or why not? (bet I don't get a response to this).

He sold a bill of goods to the governments that supported him. Almost a good a con as Benny Hinn pulls regularly.

Perfect!
They are formed to defend the 1st Amendment, just as the NRA defends the 2nd. The 1A gives all the right to believe in whatever special entity they want to imagine, or none at all. You should be a member, as you benefit from its goals.

Some of Ark Encounter was constructed using steel i-beams and concrete cinder blocks for internal structural support. I wouldn't count on it being too seaworthy.
Thanks for a fun thread folks. It's an impressive build for an eyesore - impressive inside - here or there -for an interior designed to move visitors, not prove that an Ark would work.
And I have to admit that the credibility of Ham, his Creation museum, Creationism and indeed the Bible and Christianity has been pinned on this white elephant, and to see this near scam for Jesus go belly up and the perpetrators be pulled into court by the council who have said that they have seen little benefit from the 9 million public funding it would not sadden atheism a bit.
And you can scream persecution on the basis of that as much as you like.
BF, I hope that you and your Church think that the $40 per ticket plus parking and an overpriced eaterie so take your packed lunch along is worth the trip.

Thanks Normstad. I had forgotten about the Ark Encounter but was looking for some sites my family can visit next summer.
