We goddless bastards realised that some time ago. That is why it is not about individual horses and trying to make it drink when it is determined not to. It is about having a trough, constantly topped up, and a nation of horses that we invite to drink, if they will.

And I'll hold extending the analogy to people who ride on the horses and poisoning of the well -water...

That's a somewhat accurate cliche. However, I've seen really good teachers do wonders with student who did nothing for other teachers.
