Yes. He used them to further his agenda.

Believing with Faith that Jesus is your one and only savor and is God does not make you a saved Christian?

No true Scotsman would slaughter people.
True Muslims don't slaughter People.
True People don't slaughter People.

But what sort of tropes and stories is the Old Testament full of? What sort of stories about the negation of slaughter are there in the New Testament vs stories of slaughter in the New Testament?

What is the army?

Do Christians have armies? Full of Christians?
Do their weapons only stun? Do they fight for "national interests =money" or "only in self-defense and only with shields and never with slaughtering over-reactionary offense"?

Are you a Jehova's Witness, the State has granted them the special privilege to deny the military simply for being Jehova's Witness and pacifism being one of their strongest central tenants.

Do you want similar special privileges from the State?
Your Christian denomination might already have some over Atheist or other Secular and Nontheist organizations.

Objective... Narrative...
I think that's a very fair question. Were millions of christians just to dumb to not be used by Hitler? Or did they turn a blind eye and accept Hitler because he was fulfilling other nationalistic needs that they treasured?

So you ignore the blind eye of millions of christians and point to one exception?

I think that being a Christian means that you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from your sins.

Being a "true Christian" generally means believing that Jesus is about to return "soon," despite the undeniable fact that everyone who lived 2,000 years ago died and has remained predictably dead these last 2,000 years. "True Christians" also tend to believe that Jesus' dead corpse returned to life and subsequently flew up into the sky and disappeared into the clouds, as well as maintaining the conviction that a man and his family not only succeeded in in gathering a mating pair of every species of animal from around the world and containing them all in a very large boat, without losing a single animal in the process. Also that in individual (Joshua) once caused the Earth to arrest its rotation for about 24 hours on command. Being a "true Christian" requires the childlike ability to have faith in the truth of claims that would otherwise be considered silly.
