Now where I live in the coastal part of the state, in a condo complex, I've twice in the past five years had Jehovah's witnesses knock at my door. I take their booklet and tell them I will look at it and that seems to make them happy. Then I wish them a good day.
I've never had Mormons come to my door. Worked with a couple of them, but they didn't proselytize at work.
It just seems odd to me that other people claim to have hordes of religious people at their doorstep on a regular basis.

I live in Los Angeles County and it varies. I may not have a single knock for six months or even longer and then all of a sudden I might have two knocks in the space of a month. It's not like it's on a regular schedule or anything.
I lived in northern NJ too (Bergen County), for many years, and I don't remember more than a handful of such encounters in almost four decades living there. I do remember lots of religious crazies on buses, though.
